Default Moving moment during pre race ceremonies

Very nicely done was the tribute to 9/11. The "Never Forget" banner off of the tower, the Bag pipes, and fire trucks/police cars.....very special indeed!

Thank you NHRA, you got this one right!

Default Re: Moving moment during pre race ceremonies

I made the last payment on my altered on 9/8/2001-three days later seven of our alums (I teach at a state school in upstate NY) perished in the Twin Towers. Their names, a rendering of the Twin Towers, and the saying "We will never forget" are on the front of my race car and always will be.

On 9/12/01 I walked into a class of mine, took attendance, and everyone was there. Then I lost it because the perfect attendance meant that none of those students had lost friends or family members the day before.

I know I will never forget 9/11/01.
