I am going to "enjoy" the current gas prices, as I firmly believe we will look back in a short time frame and yearn for the good 'ol days of $3.50/gallon gas.

I watched a round table discussion between T. Boone Pickens (oil baron) and Steve Forbes (Forbes magazine/ex-Pres hopeful) and they are convinced that gas is headed soon for $4-$5 /gal; it is a commodity that is being "bid up" by emerging world economies. Their "solution" to topping out at $5 is a rapid growth in nuclear plants to supply energy and ease gas/coal demands...they contend that American's need pain in the gas tank, rolling blackouts before the mood of the people will allow for construction of nuclear plants; if this doesn't happen in their professional opinion is that gas will go beyond $5/gal

I didn't catch it clearly, but I guess Japan has a test nuclear plant that re -processes the waste on site. France (of all places) is 80+% nuclear as they have no oil/gas/coal resources.

Just some thoughts
