Default Gas tank/fuelcell question

How would a fuelcell have to be mounted/located in a stocker station wagon?

good way to do it is to mount it either in the spare tire area or some wagons have an area for your feet in the 3 seat versions and you can put it in there then cover the area with a metal access cover--get a hold of Langs,Downings,or Ortiz they all race wagons and have had to contend with this---FED387

Ortiz uses a 5 gallon G.I. "jerry" can sitting on the floor behind the drivers seat. I wouldn't advise this however. Ron is what many would call.... unique! Jim

The six-passenger full size Chevy has a luggage compartment with a folding cover at the rear by the tailgate. That's were I put my 8 gallon RCI tank. The compartment where the tank sits needs to be covered as well as vented to the outside, and I secured it with a toggle lock. It's just sheet metal back there, no cross-members, so I may modify it when I have some down time!

Good luck!

Lew

Wink Re: Gas tank/fuelcell question

Downing's wagon had a stock tank last time I raced with them.
