New technology dominating, how could that be?
STK bump .746 SS bump .712 There are only going to be 6-12 more new cars then last year. And remember three of those fast stocker fords from last INDY are now SS cars.

Ya know Charlie Bob, sometimes there are just things that shouldn't be said. Now I know that you can't help yourself but I sure am glad that you brought up "new technology".
It's amazing how far FFFord has come in their attempt to perfect the internal combustion engine. Let's see 287 cubes, 4 valves per cylinder, overhead cams, port FI, CNC ported heads, big TB, you know the stats now let's compare it to that old warhorse of Stock and SS the 4V 283. You've got a factor of 232 HP and the 283 is 226. WOW! 46 years of "new technology" and FFFords best minds have managed to eke out a big 6 HP! Technology boggles the mind! If I were A FFFord engineer trying to explain that one I'd be embarrassed! BTW Charlie, someone should make sure that the mistake in the guide gets fixed rating your car at 232HP in SS AND Stock before Indy.

Your right Billy
Those 40 year old 283 don’t have acid ported heads and intakes, good CP pistons, light cranks, light valves, good rods and better cams. There just like they were in 1966. HA HA.

My 283 don't have all that either and runs about 80 under and that would be about right considering the diff in equipment....probably would not pass nhra cause too stock...
