I saw on dragracecentral where Paul Plummer (from Couer D Alene, Idaho ('70 Buick Stage1 455 - usual c/sa)....

Has Qualified #1 @ the Nitro Jam event in SLC, Utah, as an F/CM @ 10.900 (-1.280) on a 12.18 index...

To me, what's unusual about this, is the Spokane track is 45 mins. away tops, towing over from Couer D Alene.... SLC, UT is 12 Hours away!

With a first round bye, Paul hit a .000" light... lets hope you go a couple more rounds to make those miles really pay off.

Thank you Larry, I did my level best to do our hometown of Great Falls, MT proud with the nostalgia Buick stocker but went red 2nd round - this car is a little different creature than my slower C/SA combination and I am still getting used to the thing. Great news is that uncle Stew Rose was helping me all week-end and he finally got to see his old silver Buick be one of the fast cars at a national event. He had a shot back in 1975 at the winter nationals when he ran the car in Superstock, but lit the tires up on the hit and that was it!

They had a lot of downtime today because of water seeping up through the crack where the concrete meets the asphalt while Super Comp was running. They are running them pretty hot and heavy now. The weather looks pretty good. I think they might be hard pressed to get everything done today, but you never know.

Just to let everybody know, I wasn't fishing for compliments. It was just kind of disheartening to see most of my videos from Bakersfield were only getting about 30 views. I know I couldn't upload them from the track because of the poor service, but I took the extra time to add subtitles and make them 720p when I got home. I know my videos weren't getting all that many hits as it was, but 30 seemed a bit low. I will continue to upload videos and we'll see how it goes. Thanks a again for all the nice comments.
