Cool Re: Engler's Junk Yard in PA

This is out of the ordinary, but from 1970-1980, there as a wrecking yard in Baldwin Park,CA right about a half mile east of the present Irwindale 1/8th mile track named Baldwin Auto Wrecking. He had 4-5 Edsels there, and that was when a little collector's interest in Ford's red headed stepchild started. He then began searching and found at least 150 Edsels within about two years. Quite a few of them were convertibles, 2 door hardtops, wagons, and some very rare versions(I said rare-not exactly valuable.)His stash included cars from all three production years, and sooner or later, he sold parts all over the country. He also sold several very nice complete cars. I said earlier that I had a convertible Edsel for about two years and that I sold it to a collector. He was a nice older guy, and a very interesting guy to talk to about nearly anything. He also had Fords,Chevrolet parts, some Plymouths and Dodges,(cash flow), and was there quite a while. The yard is gone now, it's part of an industrial park.Anybody else remember Denis Irving at Baldwin Auto Wrecking in the '60's and '70's?('>')
