Peanuts in the pits at Indy is def bad bad news. Dennis that goes back a ways with the Indy 500. Bad things were said to happen to teams/drivers if peanuts showed up in their pit. Superstition that was based on circumstances but some still hold to them. Was kind of like having a Vette funny car back in the day.

I think it was Joan Grotheer that told me that anyone that was around any of the Sox & Martin cars with peanuts would get run off by Ronnie in a hurry!
