see this?
"Randall 401-XRRandall AMC dealership in Mesa, Arizona received AMC's endorsement to build 401 cu in (6.6 L)V8 powered Gremlins. The cars started out as 304 V8 models from the factory and after Randall's modifications would run 13.90's at 103-106 miles per hour (171 km/h) in the quarter mile, for $2,995. Known as the Randall 401-XR (X for Gremlin X, R for Randall), a total of twenty cars were built for the street and one for the strip during 1972, 1973, and 1974.[41] Car Craft magazine tested one with some modifications and achieved 115.07 miles per hour (185 km/h) in 12.22 seconds while still remaining a "totally streetable, daily-driver".[42]" i have the racer gremmy sitting here (storing it for a friend until he has room in his garage) |

And as it was AMC endorsed, it should be legal on Stock, right Eddie?

Doug I'll still be the same old lovable fuzz ball I've always been.
Tom,those 401 KRs are far and few between now. There's no firm documentation from the factory and a lot of the paper work from Randall is gone. They all started out as 304 V-8 cars though. There are a few around that the owners claim at original cars. And for the price of the car you also got one way airfare to Mesa Az to pick up the caqr. And Tom please,it's not a gremmy. That' word is like someone scratching a chalk board. Bill they only made + or - 42 of them. And all were dealer constructed. Jack, they're hard to sell as 401 KRs without any documentation. They can always be done as a so called "tribute" car though.
