Hey, 468 Heavyweight, Do you know how much current you magnet draws? And what type of racing do you do? Do you have a delay box hooked to it? Do you have to use the clutch to shift?

I ran it years ago. Sorry, don't recall how much current it drew. I used it on a Toyota truck that I used to bracket race at our local import races. I did have it wired to a Biondo box similar to the Little Wizard, along with a line lock, and 2-Step. Yes, clutch was need to shift. |

Go to a .4 tree in all classes, and problem solved. The real drivers will surface.

Randy, So I guess, the way you stated you run a four tenths tree and have a clutch car. And you get good lights? Is this divisional or non-divisional? What type of car? All I run is four tenths trees. I found there is a time difference between, divisional and races like the Unleashed events. Just wanting to know if you run a stick, how you do it.

Maverick, no, I used to run the track at Bethany Mo. and every since i raced there 40 years ago, they have ran a pro tree. I just noticed they would go weeks without a red light, and the spots bothered no one. I just think it shows the better driver on reaction. Years ago Osborne Mo. ran the same lbs. per c.i. rules, and I runner-upped there, and my slowest reaction was a .439 and my quickest was .419. I, just luv that type of tree. Now, Steve thompson drives the car at IHRA divisionals, and NHRA national opens, and he's good on any tree. We now run IHRA sspg1 and NHRS ss/dm and ss/cs. I just leave off the pedal and human error. And no, I'm not that good anymore. Thanks for asking, but going to a .4 tree would eliminate 90% of red lights.

Maverick, I quess I still need to answer your question, yes we run sticks, one in a 08 cobalt, and soon to be one in a superstock 67 nova. I change front tire size to get my reactions where I want them. But I have never mastered the .5 tree in ss. You will find most times you're quicker at night on a pro tree then in daylight. Also, i've never ran on the LED tree, just the old bulbs, so that could actually help me at my age, don't know.
