One time you want to update racing and then the next time you want to go back to the 70s. Which way is it? Or do you just want to make things best for you?
Dan Foley Today 02:54 AM First let me say that I have nothing to gain if the tree's software changes, it's a change to make each racer have to take the chance at the tree. No free rides on either side of the tree. The change would have to have true win lights so that neither racers knows if the other fouled, making it a race to the finish line. The other part is take the technology, like the incrementations out of the race information and put all back into the racers hands to figure it out for themselfs. I think that there are some of the racers, that without the time increments, they wouldn't have a clue on what to dial from one round to another. Technology is great, but too much technology can spoil the sportsmanship in racing. On Long Island we used to race with one dial for the day, I'm not suggesting that, that would be going backwards. Ok, what do you suggest to make it fair for the faster car who has the distraction of having another car launch and go down the track right beside him while having to concentrate on his light? Maybe it is a give and take situation and you build your car to suit the rules that are in place.

It's all a matter of perspective. We had the faster car and redlit more than enough last year. I think some of these people think only the slow car can loose that way!

Concentrate on the job you're there to do. You can't make any real decisions until you get the car into high gear anyway. Contrary to popular belief, you're not racing the guy in the other lane, you're trying to put together a 100% perfect pass in your lane. The person who gets closest to it will turn on the win light. If that is you.... great, if it's your opponent, he's earned it.
