I'm sorry, you built a subdivision around a dragstrip that was there earlier, pound sand! We where here first!

I'm sorry to jump in and get on my soap box however, I have a issue with this. This is the sole reason we are losing places to race, the developers move in and came the land is worth so much more......

We were just talking of building another car (or, buying - must have a third pedal) and not on your life.

I am so ready to pull out of SoCal I cannot see straight.

One time I was meeting with the neighbors about limiting the hours at our drag strip and the number of events featuring jet cars, etc. I used the old "we were here first" analogy and was not so politely reminded that the Indians were here first and look what happened to them. When the government is your opponent,... you WILL lose.

Come east.....The best stock and S/S racing is in and around Va. Md., Penn., and (UGH! High taxes) New Jersey. Tons of tracks within a couple of hours drive. Great people.

Here is a link to a video of Sal's first round in comp. His run was uneventful and he won. What's interesting is Dan Fletcher is in front of him. Watch when Dan leaves the starting line.

Looks like the guy wearing #1 is in another S/S final. Great matchup, DeFrank/McClanahan. You all know who I'm pulling for.

Told you it was going to be a good one.

"McClanahan was the 2010 World SS Champion and and starts his 2011 season with a big win over another strong Division 7 driver, Jimmy DeFrank.

DeFrank got a small advantage off the line and then wasn't able to hold off a charging McClanahan in the lights.

Congrats to my car owner, Jim Meador, on making it to the final round. He spun a bunch in the final and it might have been a close one if he hooked.
