Exclamation Gainesville traffic detour...be advised

http://www.gainesville.com/article/2...on-exit-closed

This may affect some of you coming from Bradenton or other points south of Gainesville. Aparently you will not be able to get off of I-75 at exit #382 (Gainesville/Williston exit) from the northbound side. This route is known as Williston Road and later turns into Waldo Road and passes by the Gainesville Airport before you turn to go to the track. An alternative route would be to exit at exit #390 (State Road 222, also known as 39th Ave.) Turn right and follow this road until you reach State Road 24/Waldo Road.

Hope this might save some of you a unexpected change of plans.

Hey Dan Moore, you're #1.

RIP Mark Graham

From the south, an even better detour is to take exit 374 (Micanopy, yes the one with the "entertainment" at the ramp) East 2 miles to US441, which is 65 mph the whole way to Williston Road (SR331). Turn right on Williston and follow your usual route around east Gainesville past the airport to the track.

From the north, you never hit Willison Rd. anyway.
