I think if this is successfull a series at 4-6 tracks ...both IHRA and NHRA would be a great idea. There are plenty of .90 racers who have parked thier rides with the lack of contingency support and rising expenses. Ohio..PA and NY I think would have great support from both racers and tracks alike. Can you tell I have been thinking about this...
![]() Ted does a great job with the TNT series....I think following his model and what you have done with this race we could have an alternative to the dwindling car counts at the IHRA events and the "redheaded stepchild" attitude of NHRA.....

If this is a successful race we may expand to maybe 2 events next year. I've already been approached about doing one at Maple Grove or Maybe Atco next year by the racers. I want to get this race under my wings and then work on ideas for the following season. I don't want too go to big with these events and expand it too fast plus when NHRA or IHRA races are not going on you have MASGA and the Super Comp Assoc. I'm part of MASGA and help Tom out with the S/C Assoc so the last thing I'm about to do is step on their toes and put an event on top of their races. This idea has been in the work for awhile and I know I was approached a few years ago by Mr For Real John Asta about doing something but, we just couldn't put something together. All I have to say is in a time where entry fees are going up, contingency payout if going down, gas is going up ad payout is staying the same I challenge every .90 racer out there to bypass 1 NHRA Race entry fee and put it towards what will be the future of sportsman racing and enter the .90 Nationals. |
