You mean the 1961 Chrysler 300 with a 5.7 Hemi and a Carburator. That is a very nice car that he redid a few years ago. The resto people hate it because he took the 413-2x4 out of a car with a production with less than 300, but he has become a 5.7 conversion guru and has over 15,000 miles on the car in 18 months. Its been in over 20 states so far and drives like a dream.

I second the thanks to Troy, Ronnie, Doyle for a great gathering...I wonder how many national records , final rounds, and divisional were represented there?
Thanks Ronnie for your encourageing opening remarks, I believe many of the racers in attendance had already used your guidelines for their own life path...Now if somehow we could encourage you to make a scrapbook of all the newspaper clippings you had on display from the 60-70 at Kinston and Coastal plains to sell next year I am sure many of us would pay you for your trouble and cost to prepare. Just a suggestion Regards, Ebern Watson, Super Rooster |
