I'm thinking that there will be about 50 stockers and about 20 12.0 cars, which is the better bet? If I can run the index, chances are I can, it would still be marginable with little room to use shoe polish. Four speed against a .5 pro tree, I like my chances.

$160 entry --- 5th rd loser wins $150 I can't believe 50 stockers would do that, maybe 25 millionaires will oh and Ortiz will --- Kill em Ron!!!!
I will say as embarrassing as it is, NHRA did finally post the payout for the first time I can recall.

The alcohol classes have a combined purse of $13,200.
A lot of money for 2 classes that don't draw any spectators, but require a lot of time to run, extra safety measures, and a hell of a lot of oil dry. And I'm sure add greatly to the insurance cost of an event. And it only takes 82 1/2 other sportsman entries to pay their purse ! There just something wrong about one group of racers paying for another group of racers to race their cars. |
