If what I have written offends some of the racers here and you, than you must be covering your ears at the track. I have been around and raced with many class racers both NHRA and IHRA, and I hear way more smack at the track then I have ever thought of writing here. Hope to see you and your car at the sportsman nats. Have a good one.Now let me jump back to the Outlaw forum and talk with the rest of the "young punks" that talk BS. I guess class racers aren't permitted to sling some hundreds out on the hood and race heads up for it. See ya at the Fat Tuesday race. Fastest car to the finish line takes the money home. Come run with the Outlaws and see how much smack a 622 Indy motor on three stages talks.
Glad to see that you simmr'd down some. This site has more useful information with the most knowledgable racer's out there. Yeah, I get a little upset at times with all the old timer's smack talk about the new cars and hp factors, but I sit down, shut up, listen and learn.

Also the 64 has never been listed and I was wrong telling you the AAR was a clone. She's a true AAR 340, just not with the heads or oringinal paint color.

And what does your BB Dart run without the dope in the 1/8?

Yea, sometimes the beer let's the *** out of me when I see someone post something that rubs me the wrong way. The 64 I was interested in was the red on red four speed car that was for sale not long ago. Galien documented it, and it looked like a nice resto, but there were some tacky things done that I didn't like, and one of the issues was the electric cut outs that they put on the exhaust dumps. I know where there is an AAR that sits under a swimming pool cover that I have been trying to buy for years now; Of course the guy wants a fortune for it and he is allegedly going to restore it one day with the box of Wal-Mart tools he has sitting under his carport. I know where there are a few nice original cars but like you said BJ has made Mom and Pop think there rusty car is worth $5000.00. Got a deal not long ago at a farm not far from here; Bought a 63 330 from a old man for $300.00. Solid old car. Drove it up on the trailer after I bought it. The cars are still out there. The Dart runs in the 4 second range: I prefer the 1/4 but most 10.5 and the Quick 16 and 8 races are usually the 1/8 I have ran as fast as 6.98 but she runs mid to low 7's all day long. The 6.98 was an out of control keep it off the wall run that made me check my drawers after I shut it down. I try to make alot of the outlaw races in Ms, Al, La, Ga. I'd have to say for pure excitement and the crowds Huntsville, and Hattiesburg are a couple of my favorite tracks. We have a nice outlaw track about 20 miles from the house in the Lucas community that packs 'em in on the weekend. Good people, good money, great racers. Hopefully we can do as well with the stocker we are building..We'll see.
