Very nice of you all to to remember Chris and his many antics and comments. As I have said before, nobody knew Chris like I knew him. And he was an even more unique individual than any of you would ever know. I was recently running over some memories of his youth in my mind. And it was a definitely with mixed emotions. I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss him

I had the joy of spending the weekend before Christmas
with Chris' oldest son, David (13) and it was lot like having Chris around when he was that age. It was truly a joy. We spent a lot of time, hugging , a lit bit crying, and a lot of time talking about how much we miss his dad.

Christmas Eve, I had all three kids over, David, Max(6) and Belle (5) and it was wonder too. The kids are really too young to miss Chris, and so that is bittersweet too. I want to help keep him alive to them. Max and Belle are both beautiful children, and as Max opened his presents and began to play with them, I was reminded of conversations I had with Chris about him. Max won't take a toy out of the package until he has fully read the instructions.... Chris and I laughed about it a lot and commented that he must not be related to the two of us, who only use instructions as a last resort... And Isabella is Grandpas little Princess. I was dead tired when they left, but it was a good tired.

I have spent the last two weeks since then in bed with the flu, so have had a lot of too much time to lay around and think, and miss Chris.

But thanks to you all for the kind comments and your remembrances of him. You keep him alive with your memories of him.

God Bless

David

We keep all Chris's E mails and we miss the bantering a bunch too! As I said before......Some day when we are all in Heaven, we will then understand why Our Heavenly Father allows what has happened to have occurred in this life.........
Until then we will just have to trust his perfect heart. May God grant you the perfect peace and solace that is beyond our understanding. We are hoping to see you again this year.John Irving and the boys

I've kept all of Chris's emails and his invite to friend him on Facebook. I'll never hit the delete button. I don't visit this site much anymore after the loss of Chris. He always seemed to stir up the pot and I couldn't wait to get home from the shop to read his new post's. Chris was a good friend and still is and I miss him very much.
