I think you would run the V88, I run the V 44. Also the "traction control" is what you run for the 2 step. It does not do any traction controling. just a 2 step function. So you don't need the MSD chips etc. There is also an over rev function.
I just wired mine in myself connected it to the stock injector harness. I also run coil over plug So I had to wire that up.
The wiring diagrams are on the ViPec website. It's straight forward and you just program it for your sensor parameters. I run LS1 coils and map sensor, and a Mustang throttle position sensor. MSD cam position sensor, With mopar temp sensors. All this with a 4 cylinder front wheel drive Neon.
I recently played a bit with the "cold start". Got it to start and run without feathering the throttle in 22 degree temperature. Rolls over about 5 times and starts and idles at @1800
