Life is full of choices. The guys with some time on the clock chose to race S/SS and most abide by the rules. There are some that bend the rules like a loaded bow.But the majority play pretty much by the rules. Some spend a lot of money to go fast and some won't or don't have a lot to spend. We all have a place here to enjoy this type of racing. For the most part a lot of the anger is directed where it should be.At the sanctioning assoc.that
is supposed to enforce the rules.Hopefully the time will come when they will finally step up and do so.In the mean time us "cry babies" will keep up the battle to get both classes back to the point where the racing will be more competitive.
You also have a choise. You can read the posts here in the S/SS section or you can move yourself down a few catogories to the one labeled Bracket Racing, which Kenny provided to those who chose to not be bothered by all the "crying going on here.
See I made your life a little more stress free.

I bet ya they'll be S/SS racing around long after Pinkos and Unlashed are just a memory. And we''ll still be whining from our wheelchairs.

I'm with you on this one too Ed. After watching a taping of a future Pinks show (don't even show up with a car that runs slower than a 12.99), it took me back to the now defunct "American Gladiators" show (from the 90's). You may have been able to perform as required for their tryout qualifiers, but if you didn't have a good story to sell for the audience too, then you were likely overlooked. With this show, you have to hope that your cars performance is within a larger group of race cars than other groups. Then you have to hope that your car is either quicker than your opponents, or that your driving skills are better (at least enough to hold off their faster top end performance)? Kudos to Rusty Hall for giving me a reason to watch the upcoming Phoenix taping of the show the weekend after the Pomona World Finals!

At least in a Stock and Super Stock fielded race, you have a chance to race for the bucks
whether your car runs 8's or 18's, and for pretty much the same kind of bucks too!

LONG LIVE CLASS RACING & STOCK/SUPER STOCK IN PARTICULAR!!!
