Yes guys, the race at Farmington will be Fri - Sat- Sun three day event. Im sorry for the confusion, the morning I turned the schedule in to be posted on the IHRA web site I got a call from Don & Sandy that they wanted to change to a 3 day event. It will be changed on the IHRA site soon. Again sorry for the confusion. Satch Gragg Div. 9 IHRA

Satch,
I think most racers like the 3 day format. day 1- Tech,T&T,Parking day2- Qualifying, Bracket race or Beer drinking contest. day3 Watch Chip win again uh I mean race. Chip Johnson |

Actually I like the three day events myself. Why don't you post a poll of div 9 racers to see what they like. I think the track operators are listing.

Satch,
Thanks for the hard work you do. Maybe the track ops are finally listening. Now if we could get some doubles in div 9. oh well baby steps I guess. Thanks again Chip |

I prefer double-headers the most. Some of us even skipped Coastal Plains in favor of Montgomery so that we could run two races in one weekend. Next year, I'd consider going to Palm Beach, but it's on the same weekend as Piedmont.
If not a Pro-Am double-header, then qualifying & a gamblers/combo race Saturday, final eliminations Sunday. Better yet, remember when most races used to have a Sunday qualifying run? You used to pick up a number of cars. (this is even more of an issue today, since S/SS cars are required to have a qualifying run on the sheet in order to race. Farmington missed out on several cars coming in on Sunday this year because we weren't allowed to race, having not been there on Saturday.) The double-headers with a Sunday curfew (ie. Darlington) have already proven that time isn't an issue. The Sunday time run used to be one of IHRA's selling points -- racer friendly schedule. EDIT to add: And in Farmington's case this coming year, you may pick up guys on their way home from Atlanta. $.02,
