Give me a reason why NHRA couldn't have run some classes this morning ....I feel sorry for the summit allstars, they go to the big show and they will be running in front of maybe five people in the stands.

The kind of lights he has had today it's a shame he can't finish it today. Probably won't faze him a bit. Very impressive. Hope he wins it.

Keith likes running on Monday. And he has won well at Pomona in the past. So we will see what happens tomorrow.

I told him that since I am so old, I will hit the sack early tonight to get ready, but young guys like him don't need as much sleep so he has no curfew tonight.

It will be some good racing tomorrow. He has a couple of great cars and drivers to race against, and he will need two good lights and two good run to get it done...

I believe he can do it, and I am sure rooting for him, but hey.. after all, it is my car.

If NHRA had concentrated on the task at hand(running the REGULAR NHRA eliminator categories)instead of the circus exhibition classes like Pro ET -super Pro et etc and run those classes on Sat or not at all especially when they know they have a STRICT curfew the event could of been completed on Sun. But NO
they try to cater to every class known to man and run them all in a VERY short time frame (6 hours) cannot be done with breakage, oildowns, crashes not enough time to do it---Oh well as K Wigginton always says "ya can't fix stupid"

Differ with you, the circus exhibition classes are NOT the bracket cars who've fought hard for an opportunity to win their respective national championship. Bracket racing is still the foundation of the sport last time I checked. They could have gotten them run earlier to be sure but they earned the right to be on the 'big stage'. I also agree they could have done a better scheduling job, they are completely unrealistic about the time it takes to run the alcohol and fuel cars. If the "Garlits rule" had been implemented (have to start 'after' your run or you're disqualified) then you'd have seen better racing all the way around.

Do the people that bitch about the noise, also bitch about the extra money the racers and fans bring in.

Proudly so. Chris was my only child. He grew up a lot like me, but in many ways even better. He was an exceptional young man for a variety of reasons, and is missed dearly.

As for the race, it a great race. We knew that Dallas would hit a good light and we needed a better one. .002 realy is darned close to .000 green. But Dallas hit a .004 and ran right on, and deserved the win for his excellent driving.

By beating us, he got into his first ever final round, but in spite of not being able to close the deal this time, I predict many good things for him in the future. A nice family, a nice person, and one heck of a good driver.

It was a tough field from start to finish, and Keith had to take out two former World Champs along the way to third place. And I am proud of Keith's performance and that of the MegaManiac, that just keeps rolling along.

We won it all in Noble, went to the fourth round in Vegas Diviional, and third place in Stock at World finals. And we picked up four consecutive stock Top Qualifier awards along gthe way, so overall, it was a pretty good trip from Maple Grove to Noble OK, to Las Vegas, and Pomina. And we didn't embarrass ourselves in Super Stock in Vegas Nationals either...

Now it is time go home and rest up..
