Well said indeed; weather worked against those competing at Virginia next weekend (or wanting to attend Reynolds in order to claim another Divisional) and at this point in the season I don't know what reschedule would have not created hardships. Also, NHRA can be commended for allowing racers to withdraw when it became obvious that Thursday racing wasn't going to happen.

Kenny -- Most of the BS i've seen has come from racers who have "other" agendas and as much as they have right to be heard it shouldn't be force fed to the rest of us .As much as the NHRA would like to control where and when the races are to be run the one factor that is out of their reach is the weather - no matter how hard they try .Most of the NHRA bashing i've seen is done without suggestions of what a solution might be - better ideas will always be heard as some have found - just shoot 'em an e-mail and try at least before you cuss them . Recently several issues have been resolved by just contacting Director Lang right here in Division One.

And like you Ken it has been suggested that i'm in NHRA's pocket in one way or another - fact is i've been racing with them more than forty years and I like there deal - perfect - hell no .......but a better game than any other - and if we don't support them they'll surely go away some day .

Lastly - think big picture - not just this race or another .

I think there's a huge difference between a valid and fair criticism, and just plain whining. Atco is a good example. They did everything they could to get the race in, and were left with little or no choice as to rescheduling. It's hard to find any real fault with Atco or the Division 1 staff over that race.

The truth is, other than some scheduling issues and that sort of thing, most people don't have a ton of real complaints about the division level people (especially now that Bill Holt has retired). It's Glendora that rubs people the wrong way. And that's because they are so detached from those of us who race at the sportsman level.

So I do agree with Ken, for the most part. At least with regards to NHRA on the division level, and most of the tracks as well. And I'd say that at least some, if not most of the problems that may exist at the division level are caused by Glendora.

There's nothing wrong with fair and valid constructive criticism, delivered in a reasonable tone. But there's nothing to be gained by trashing people who don't really deserve criticism, and for the wrong reason, to boot. Do not forget that a lot of the guys at the division level are our friends, and they work very hard for us.
