I don't understand why this is all of a sudden an issue. Jeff Taylor and others have done this for years so we can't blame the west coast rule book.

Maybe they feel that this scoop allows the air to turn better going into the carb if it's taller? There isn't a rule about how tall it can be over the carb just the rule about 5" at the opening. |

... just sayin.. i took my a## whoopin like a man in the final round of class in Indy...... not saying the scoop is the reason he runs so fast but it makes me wonder when theres pics on autoimagery of this car with the correct scoop on it....
