There is $2250 committed to the Aaron Koppien Memorial race on Saturday. This is in addition to any entry fees, so the more cars, the more money will be paid out
Just a reminder, with the tragic event involving Jon Christensen on every one's minds, there will be one time trial Sunday morning before the ladder is set for the NHRA D 5 National Open S/SS combo. If you will not be able to attend on Saturday, you will have the opportunity to race on Sunday if you choose to come. We also have $1400 in sponsorship money for this race that is in addition to the NHRA purse. Time trials will start at 10 AM both Saturday and Sunday with eliminations at 2 PM. I know Jon will be with all of us in spirit. Rest, my friend! #5457 Curt Rees

Would like to go, but we need to work. I would say I cannot remember the last time we have felt more welcome at any track. I also remember we were pitted next to Jon last year. Always a smile, and happy to be racing. That I will not forget, just like Aaron's. Hopefully the weather will co-operate and the event will be a good one.
Jason

The weather looks good! It rained today, Thursday, but we have a NW wind now which will dry things out in a hurry. 70's for Saturday and Sunday, light breeze and sunny both days.
Rigs are already coming into the track, even on Thursday! Gates are open 24 hours, so a lot of racers will be in on Friday. #5457 Curt Rees

31 cars qualified for the event. A total of $3800 was paid out. The weather was great! #5457 Curt Rees
