I was looking at an FE 352 for a potential stocker several years ago. I thought it looked pretty decent at the time and sure wouldn't hesitate to build one for SS as you suggested. The Mustang would be more modern & aesthetically pleasing but a Fairmont might be a good body also.
Does it get any of the after market heads? So how far under did you get the Mustang?

Jeff, it gets the Edelbrock head with the OEM valve size. It is the same as a 390, but a bigger chamber volume. I had about 30 cc's to spare when I got done with the intake port, and about 20 left on the exhaust, LOL. It did not go in a Fox body. The guys who have it are going to put it in a '69 Mustang ex-Stocker. They have some work to do, but it went 124 mph in the heat at Bowling Green, and there is a ton of work to do to the car. I'd like to see one in a GT car at 26-2700 lbs. It would be a 9-second car. One the Stocker idea, that will work too. It only has .408 at the valve, but the iron head can get really good up to that point. I've been playing with that for about 10 years off and on. I bought Kip Martin's old Galaxie to do something like that a long time ago. I have done the R&D on the engine, but the car is still sitting.............too many irons in the fire............maybe someone who is interested will build one and buy an engine. I seem to run out of time to put the car together.
