I believe John Shaul was entered at Reading and he is not on the list anymore. Probably some people were waiting to see what NHRA was going to do. I predict there will be more withdrawals.

John made it very clear at Indy that he was not going to Reading because of these cars.

John is a very talented race car builder and driver. He is very lucky that he has a stable of cars to choose from. He could enter the 67 Cuda or the 62 Plymouth and be very competitive and avoid the DP's and CJ's but that is his choice.

You should call John and offer your thoughts. I'm sure it would be an enlightening conversation for you!

But that was before you had all this great advice to offer him about his choice of cars to run at Reading. I think you should give him a call. You may learn something new since your last conversation.

You may be right Patsy...was a bit surprised there hasn't been more withdrawals but my parting thoughts about Indy this year was the A/S final....that was my high and last years most vivid memory was the AA/SA final at Pomona last fall. The new stuff just cannot stir that kind of passion.
