Steve,

Great job! While I met you and your father at a previous Indy trip, I missed you this year. I should have gotten some shots. I knew this would start a good thread and you would add some color commentary. Glad to see you made it home in one piece and some change in your pocket.

Great Job Steve! On behalf of us remaining fwd stocker racers (the seemingly dozen of us that are left), I was rooting for you from way out west, and I too was glad to see how greatly you predicted your cars performance in your elimination rounds! I look forward to seeing your car in action in the dragster in 2-3wks.!

Thumbs up Re: How about that Polhill?

If more racers knew how difficult it is to drive a FWD car they would appreciate much more what a great accomplishment Steve's outing at Indy was! Every time DRC posted the next round win for you Pothole I hooted and hollered as if it were me in your seat!

Gary, I still have the AF/S Neon! Jim

That's cool Jim, and like I said in another thread, that's cold you calling Steve "Pothole", but sounds to me like he'd be a cool guy to hang around and bench race with...anybody that has the nerve to race a fwd car (with it greater challenges to be a winner in stock or Super Stock), is "WAY COOL WITH ME"!!!

One of us is eventually going to smash that glass ceiling that has withheld fwd racers from standing on top of the heap after final eliminations are done, and if it isn't me, I hope I get to see/read about whoever it is, and if it is you or Steve, that would certainly be AWESOME!!!

I hope you get that Neon back out there soon Jim???

I honestly believe that if you can do well in a low HP FWD car, you are a pretty good racer. It's viewed as an easy car to drive, but thats not really the case. Sometimes is can be a pain in the *****. And the predictability can be a problem. The smallest change in the weather can make a serious change in dial-in.

And as far as the "Pothole" thing goes I've been called worse, Much worse LOL

Hey When you are racing a Ford Escort and into Politics you MUST have a sense or humor. You'd go crazy otherwise..
