Check the Clarion Inn in Speedway -- got a room two days before the Brickyard, can't believe lodging for the Nat's would be any different.

I have never stayed at the Motel 6 in Speedway, but a couple of friends of mine said it was a dump and they would never stay there again. The Clarion only has a few rooms left and the prices range from $75 a night to $125 a night depending on which night it is. I have stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Speedway in 2007 and 2009 and it is great because it is only 4 miles from the track. Unfortunately a lot of people agree with me; it has been sold out since January! This year I am staying at the Red Roof Inn on Victory Drive in South Indianapolis. I stayed there in 2008 when the Speedway Inn was sold out and it is just as nice as the Speedway location, but you have a 21 mile drive to the track. However, it only takes 30 minutes because you are on a Highway for most of the trip.
Online you can get a room there for $50 a night every night of the Nationals. Hope this helps!
