What classes can the Funny Car body be run in ? Still "pondering" it....otherwise maybe an altered.... i should of posted it here 1st,
i should of mentioned it when i had the chance, i remember about 3 or 4 years ago on the history channel, on modern marvels when they profiled "drag-racing" a guy on there had a funny car with a turbo'd on alkie 4 banger, in a funny car. i wish i would of mentioned it, it was exactly what droozie was talking about. A bit of trivia for you, but in the 1980s before the IHRA had a PAFC division, the alky flops ran as S/F [Super Funny] and had a 6.40 index. One of them actually made it to the quarters at one race I was at.

Not that this would fit into any NHRA class, but an interesting 4 cylinder funnycar none-the-less.
Dave Bonbright's dual blown, flat-4 VW funnycar! I watched Dave drive this thing at Fremont Raceway back in the day, at one of the VW events. |
