Talking Re: Live from Columbus-NHRA Lucas Oil Series

This morning I feel like I'm at home - why you ask ? These folks here in D3 take this deal just as serious as we do - by last night the place had a zillion racers here and this morning they're lined up waiting to get in and claim their pit space .

I couldn't have picked a worse weekend to visit -- at this moment - 6:50 am the DA is already just a tick under 3500' and climbing . Don't they know this is Columbus not Denver ? Today the heat index is to be 105 -109 degrees .

Larry -- While you and Patsy are off honeymooning I'll take care of "your" reporting in D3 - sooner or later we'll cross paths.........
Claude - No one named Ed is with me .
Joe -haven't seen the Nicewangers yet .
Myron - Stop by later for a tour -fridge is working fine - I'll buy you a drink - you'll need it later .
Dave - get your butte out of the house and join us .
Mack -how's that loud car coming?
Eric- 725 miles ? That my friend is the price of fun .And no its not Dave Barton .
Dennis - I'm still carring around that chunk of aluminum thats yours - maybe I can leave it here .

Hey Jack. We looked at the weather and decided to pass this one up. It's only about a three and a half hour run for me but, I've been at Columbus in similar conditions and it just is not fun. BTW make sure and put an extra 100 lbs in the trunk for first round tomorrow. By the time they call you for first round the track will be slick as snot.

379 miles for me, door to door. And no tolls! I-68 is hard on the equipment though.

It's stick shift row where we are parked, me, B. Wenzel, G. Tompa, J. Martens, Donny Beeler, Dave Walter and on........

Jack, I'm looking forward to the heads up run between you and Wilks with the GTO's. Have fun, stay cool, good luck, and have a safe race.

A voice of much experience. This coming from the man that won a National Event there.

Smile Re: Live from Columbus-NHRA Lucas Oil Series

SuperStock just got their first hit -- not only was it slow but the left lane is junk - several racers tried to hit the tree - as usual they did nothing - yes , I was on the starting line to witness it .

Did I mention the weather -- the DA is past 4100' and it's only 10:45 am .And believe or not the skies are getting dark .

Stock is out fourth -- by the time we get out nobody will care ...............And for those of you hardcore fans - take note - National Record runs are today only ..................

Ran into Billy Baker this morning and had a nice chat - made me remember all the good times I had with his dad -- I sure miss him ..............Dick was one great guy ! !

Stock just finished and as we expected it was extra slow and most 60's were off three to four hun and et's are anywhere from 1.5 to 3 from Lebanon Valley LODRS - the only point of reference I have .Weather ? What weather - the DA is over 4500' and how about the Vapor Pressure - past 1 full point - never saw that before .But its not raining ............

Almost forgot - I know I was kidding before about National Record runs but one of "those" Mustangs just ran three hundreths off the record ..............'gotta get me a 'stang ! ! !

Yes...the weather is miserable there, indeed. Just wondering if it is harder to breath there than Denver! ROFLMAO!!
Did NHRA allow gills to be utilized for race cars at this race? No?
Make sure everyone thanks Jay Hullinger for another great job of scheduling the worst time to be in Columbus Ohio.....

He should be a dead beat dad on Halloween this year...or Einstein..Which ever is clever....

I hope nobody gets sick there from the weather..Be careful everyone...
