Thats is Hans Nilsson chevelle 396cui superstocker and yes is from your country.that car has been a couple of year here in sweden now.

Its the ex Gordon Merkely (spelling?) '66 Chevelle SS/E that has now been over here in Sweden for a couple of years. Back onto the racetracks again after having numerous engine problems over the last few seasons.

That's it, you forgot it was a record holder when it was here. One of my favorites when I was just getting started at mission raceway.

I was wondering if it was Gordon's car. Looks like the paint on the fenders is a slightly different shade of blue. On Horsepower Heaven's "Monsters of Launch" video, Gordon does a bumper scraping wheelie and the car comes down hard. It looked like the car may have sustained some damage. Very cool car !!!!
