Why is it that when someone loses a heads up race their good motor was not in car or they were in bracket mode and protecting the combination? Wasn't there a money bet last year about the same class and does anyone remember the results?

Oh yea....I missed the tune up.

Joe you do not think Jerry's run at Charlotte, was as fast as his car would go, do you?

Wheels up, I have no idea if he was all out that day but was Hatari all out that day or just enough to win? My point is that when some racers get beat they have tons of excuses.

If you are in eliminations with the new index's why hide it, he had room based on both racers et. I would love for everyone to race it b*lls to wall. When I get beat heads up the other guy was better that day unless its Jim Marshall who I can not nor can anyone run when he lets its lose. Willl another racer come up with another reason they did not win at Indy and say they were faster than Hatari and Jerry?

Fastest car on the same track same day in eliminations settles it.

Why would Jerry not run it out during eliminations? Did he have another .14 left before he was hit automatically? I have no clue......but he was flagged anyway for going -1.007 under.

By the by I never heard Jerry complain or make excuses, he is a great racer and tuner as are many others.

What class was Iacono in when this came up last year?

Thumbs up Re: The baddest GTDA in the country!

Stacey,
You guys need to get a set of cast heads going! Nothing but stock cranks and rod sizes here. I know what the difference is between the Edelbrock heads and the factory Pontiac heads, you not fooling anybody. The cast gm heads are better than the alluminum OEM gm heads I will agree with that. But the edelbrock and Pontiacs, thats different. Hats off to you guys for getting NHRA to do that for you, but you know its Bogus. Just because I said the Indy teardown thing why do you assume I am accusing anyone of cheating?? I was asked for my opinion so I gave it. And thats what it is my OPINION.. I dont expect you to like it. I still think JS has the Baddest D car....

I agree with Stefen.. The fords are going to kick all of our ***'s from GT/AA to FA anyway

Dave,
You know as I do its not what's correct but what's legal. When you say bogus, we didnt invent the model of NHRA bogus. Gawd we've been running against sbc's out of checkered cabs and 400's with incorrect heads should I go on? It took us awhile but we learned, in fact we got way more flak from the pontiac community that you guys. .

If you want to run old SS rules, lets do everything not just what you want to pick on. How many RPMs would you turn with cast iron rods, cranks, stock block and stock valves? You can't point at one thing and say "at least" when your benefiting from it in other ways is all I'm saying.

Bischoff has my cast iron heads flowing almost the same at 10 hp less rating. Its the effort, time and cost we saved not a bunch of power. The cc's determine that, everyone knows that. We have to fill IN the edlebrocks 27 cc's on the intake runner!!! Tony was willing to do what was needed on the old iron heads, but its still on the back burner do to cost and time!

Wasn't sure of your intention on that statement, but some people took it that way. What did you mean exacty?

Stacy

It will not be all out during class. If a heads up during the eliminator happens you will get see who has what.

Not sure who you are, but I'm calling BS on this post, especially at Indy for example, I guess not winning SS/AH class doesn't mean anything to C. Wescott Jr. ?
