Now Ive heard some FUNNY things today Bob, and maybe Im just punchy....Parts breaker.....I almost swallowed my teeth.

What does it matter what it gets out of the gate at ? 1 sec under is 1 sec under , right ? If I can run em down long track, wouldnt, or couldnt that possibly be an advatage in its own way ?

Parts breakage....heheheh.......

I had a Nitro Motorcycle engine on a what basically could be called sandrail, every 2 runs it needed a new head, I changed probably 25 heads a year, had them off and inspected them etc. I ran that contraption for some 10 years betwen myself and brother in law. The Motorcycle yard would call me up when they had a truckload of that particular head. Breaking things has never been a personal issue for me....But you outta hear a Honda CB175 Engine on Nitro , That was cool and fun, and Nitro was cheap then, unlike some of the horror stories I hear now.

Parts Breakage

Ok let me correct myself. It would be competitive against regular combinations but the drag paks are running 10.50s in F at Bristol with pretty weak 60fts. I am not very familiar with the srt8 but how much would it take to build one in stocker form? The real question is will it be a great deal cheaper than a drag pak 5.7 or 5.9. If it can be done for 40-50k then it may be worth it. That's just my opinion. Also it would weigh 4205 in D!

HA! HA! at Drooze. Sonny boy you just let your mouth overload your ***...
You need to start listening to a few of the more experienced class racers instead of spouting off. You have got a lot to learn. It might help your learning curve if you would pay attention to suggestions people try to give you. You always seem to have a car to motorcycle comparison. Get over it! A motorcycle is only a 2 wheeled vehicle. That is half as many as a car and half as many problems as a car. If weight didn't matter WHY are all the factory M/C teams finding ways to engineer their MC's down to fly weight...?? Your MC to car comparison is apples to oranges. It doesn't fly. You have a forum here where people are more than willing to help you and you have the nerve to disreguard them, even to the point of showing disrespect to them. I can't believe our generation raise so many smart a**e* like you. At one time I wanted to meet you and your Dad... Take a hike Sonny.. I would still like to meet your Dad. He shows respect to people in his posts.

It would have to have over 700 HP to run 10.50. Is that possible with that engine.

SRT-8 Challengers go for around $45K on the dealer's lots. I have not seen too many go for less than that yet. I can't see it being much cheaper than a DP car by the time it's finished.

I call bull**** on Drooze and his buddy being close to the 9's with an overbore, cam, and headers. If he's going that fast he's boosting it.

The Hemi cars have the same problem my '04 GTO does. Great motor, but a drivetrain made of wet spaghetti. I've seen the Charger guys make swizzle sticks out of driveshafts more than once.

To me, it looks like the DP or CJ would be the way to go, although I have a buddy who is tearing it up with a Slant 6 in V/SA for a hell of a lot less money.

That was my thinking. I thought it would be just as costly as a Drag Pak. I don't see these things running 10.50 at 4205 that's nearly 1000 lbs. heavier than the 6.1 Drag Pak in AA! Even in C it's still 4000 lbs. According to Wallace Racing calulator it would take 718 flywheel HP to run 10.50 at 4205.
