They are called "SNOW MOBILES" so they should run in January, Febuary and March right after a snow storm along with Top FOOL and the HA HA cars.

Yes, Terry.....The sleds are also drag racing on frozen lakes and man-made ice tracks w/their carbide tipped ice-pick- pinned tracks and carbide- runnered skis all over the US and Canada in the winter months (Jan.-Feb.).....they also run them on grass tracks w/packed clay starting lines from Sept. thru November in certain parts of the country and Canada.....some reaching 135mph plus in 500 feet.....AND most sanctioned races draw thousands! The Snowmobile 1/8 and 1/4 mile asphalt drag racers are a well- organized and professional group, and should be welcomed by everyone here....PLUS, their money is nice and green! Not their fault that our governing bodies can't set up a fair race order/event format and schedule for EVERYONE'S daily racing.....Again, just my take on this.....from "an old sled dog".....Best wishes Terry..... WJ

Sorry....I have to disagree. If the sleds have thier own vinue then why dont they just stay there and leave the summer months and track time (what little is avaliable these days) to the stock and S/S cars. With all of the different circus acts coming out of the wood work the legal class cars are being squeezed out of the picture all together. Kind of like the illegals taking over this country and the politicians not doing anything about it. Its a cheap show (like minimum wage workers) and it costs everyone else in the long run.

In my opinion, sleds are like Wheelstanders and Jet Cars. If you've seen them once, that's enough.
