The schedule arguement is crap as routinly TS and TD get moved in front of us. I don't start looking at the weather untill the first call, and god forbid I don't hear it. I'll get labeled a lollygagger and some want me out of the race. Get a life and bitch about something more important, Like Payout, or the advantages FWD conversions have over other GT cars, or something that affects the outcome on the track. I have been at the track pretty much my entire life and cannot recall any time a race was held up because someone didn't show. I also can't recall seeing more than 4 or 5 cars of the next class in the lanes by the time we were all paired. Its not that big of a deal.
You obviously haven't raced in Div. 1.We commonly get 100+ car fields in Stock and 80+ in SS.There's plenty of guys that drag their asses getting to the lanes. This past weekend
at Atco there were a fair amount of stockers still unpaired when S/C was called to pair up.Luckily we have an excellent Div crew (who don't get the credit they deserve) that kept it orderly.
As far as I'm concerned I usually like going in fairly early.I have my little weather thingy
out, taking my readings till I'm ready to sit in the car.On goes the dial and off we go.No problem.I might nt win a round, but it won't be because I'm mis dialed. Hagen, take a chill pill. You sound like someone who would be a prime candidate to be rattled by a game player.

I like to run early to avoid lines at fuel check and the scales, also to avoid starting the car so many times to get up to the line. But, if the other guy can't (runs two classes, has problems, etc) or just won't get up there, stewing about helps them not you. I just think "Oh, well" and chill. More time to listen to the other guy's runs and think about (i.e. screw up) my dial.

Life is too short to get bent out of shape over another person's routine.

Hagen, check your pms.

Thumbs down Re: "Lollygaggers"

At the scale ( I always weigh) I get out to congratulate him on his win and wish him luck next round. To my surprise my truck will not start and had to be pushed off of the scales.
Now this sounds like Lollygagging! Because YOU lost why weigh. Now you are holding up the race for ?????? Hypocrite!

ron....i like to go up at the end.....call it what you want........and if you notice, i do the same thing every run......who am i trying to throw off their game by coming up last in a qualifying session....and furthermore if you are the last car to run there is a shot at a single....which i happen to like...

I ran the open @ Atco this past weekend in superstreet. First time trial of the day I went up 4th car back and ran 11 flat (lost .05 in 60'). Second time trial and the following two rounds of eliminations ran @ the rear and was dialed in "ok" (60' came back). Third round sunday morning there were only seven cars left ... lost .07 in 60'( could not stay back). Lollygagger this!

(I know ...should have assumed track was not hooking yet and compensated).

I understand the strategy of going last-we try to do it all the time in comp-the big problem is that others do as well, so it's up to the officials to do something about it. What I hate is that D1's designated pairs are chosen on the based of points-those with the least get to go first, so those with the most never have to go first. So look at the points standings and you'll know about whom I'm talking, Now I've owned up to being an offender-it used to drive Lee Zane and Brian Van Poppel nuts that we wanted to wait and sometimes would say to hell with it they would go up anyways.

Mike and Gary all my anatomy is in very good working order. Gary come by some time and introduce yourself, please don't be shy. I am the racer that has a pink car and large brass ones.

Mike, name calling from the champ -- I feel so honored. I don't care when you qualify. Not coming when called to race shows rudeness and lack of manners.

If you know the guy is gonna be up there late and you go early... shame on you.
