The turbo Chryslers are pretty unbelievable but they are also pretty inconsistent. I think if I was going to try something new it would be a 2.8 or 3.1 GM something. I know that there are a few guys running around the Carolinas Bracket Racing those little critters and doing well. I think that if somebody had access to a good junkyard and a Hollinders manual he could make one of those things run under the index pretty cheap.

That would be the interchange manual used by the auto recyclers (known as junkyards to the old guys here)

Billy's right about the 2.8 J cars , or even an X car if you could find one
You might look at the 95 Escort too, with a stick.

Thumbs up Re: Attn. FWD racers

Yac and I both ran the GM J cars with the 2.8 in Stock for a while (18 years for me) and they are tough pieces for sure. I think with a more modern fuel management system the 2.8 and 3.1 should be much more consistent, something they never were for us! The Turbo Dodges are great cars! They seem to run well in just about any combo they come in. I loved my Spirit, much more consistent and fast than the Caddy. Jim
