I once in a while race on an 1/8th mile/airport track on the coast in Washington that serves as the helipad for medical transports. We also get deer and elk and an occasional cow trying to time in. Its all good, love that 1/8th mile.

Wow,46 posts and nobody's pissing on anyone's leg.Shows that maybe we can get problems solved if we work at it.With a little cooperation from the organization maybe 2110 will be a turn around year.
Still not many responses from uner 40 year olds though.Must be busy texting or twittering, what ever that is.

yes,52 easy to see why, none of the present automobiles have character (except the new Challenger,Camaro and Mustang) I know that no kids these days check's out to see when the new models of Honda's are coming out.

Yes - 55 years old (second childhood)
Ed, As far as a car culture. Here in the midwest, instead of drag cars. It's 4x4's. Alot of people around here like trucks. Another thing, I work with about a half dozen guys that love derby cars? It amazes me how much money they can tie up into something that they'll destroy eventually. Although, some have figured out ways to put "new" bodies on the things! I think another thing. You don't have the visability anymore. When I was a pup, 60's-early 70's. Every gas station, repair garage, body shop, towing service, parts store et al, had some kind of race car, be it drag or stock car setting on the lot. One of our "local legends" owned a Sunoco service station, he used to get his dragster out on Friday or Saturday nite and run it up and down the road. The town cops would come out and raise a ruckus, not much they could do. The city and county paid him to keep their police cars tuned up! I have also seen a new interest with the current crop of Camaro's, Mustang's and Challengers. It is there but has just changed from our day.
