Question from another board ---
Does anyone know what class an 82-85 chevy fullsize pickup would fit with a 350 q-jet engine? I've seen pictures of a red one somewhere but all that is listed on the interweb site is S10's Thanks |

I would like to know that answer to that myself. I've often thought it would be cool to build a new truck with the LS engine. Those babys run!

The only 82-86 full size Chevy pick-ups for stock are the 86 C-10 with 4.3 v6. These body styles were to my knowledge only with v8's of 305 4bbl variety. There have been a few raced. Two are in Div 3. One is currently raced by Randal Campbell and the other has been raced by Larry Hill (Dad) and myself. Both are red swb trucks.
A 350 TBI was available in 87 and it also has a roller cam. |

Chris is being modest. Their red truck was # 1 qualifier a few times. Gotta be hard to dial on a windy day.

Unfortunetly the rules state 1980 and newer, because there could be some interesting big block combos out there in the 70's trucks. You would need to do a grill and headlight bezel swap to make your 77 an 80

Yea, it's a bitch to dial. If someone farts in the stands, it'll pick-up a dime. At least it's good to see out of.
If someone would get the 305 approved, it should be a better in eliminations. It should be similar to a 305 malibu wagon, but faster ![]() |

I remember looking at the 454 ss full size truck in the classification guide not to long ago. Whats wrong with that combo if your looking for a truck? Its rated at 310hp 3700 lbs, natural H/SA I believe...
