ETI is an extended tech inspection, if you have it done once it is good for the year. However, I agree with Chuck, I have never seem them good at a LODRS or National event....only good for bracket racing.

The advice to put the sfi numbers and expiration info on the tech card is good advice, makes it easier for the tech guy. All tech is about the same...you get an occaisional harda..., but you'll be fine. They will always check your SFI tag inside your helmet and look at your gear....make sure it is in good shape. Sometimes you get a newbie, and they don't always know the rules...so don't be afraid to question something or have them look it up if in question. They all have a rule book in their pocket just for that reason.

They all seem to have one thing that "they" look for, its seem they like to have a specialty, and every one is different. I got nailed one year for rubber valve stems in the front wheels (knew they needed changed, just kept forgetting) I had ran the Gators, Chicago, and the US Nationals with them and then get stopped in St. Louis the following year.

See ya in Indy!

NHRA recognized the ETI in 2009 at the Division and National events in Divisions 4, 5, and 7.
At some of the National and Division events Tech will be setup in a separate line for those with an ETI. Again it all depends on the tracks.

I have not been out in 2010 so I can not speak for this year.

There are separated ETI sheets one for Brackets and one for the Nationals and Division races. If you race both type events you need two separate ones but sometimes the ET races will let you use the National and Division. It just depends on the track.

I have been doing the ETI deal the past several years. It has all of your SFI numbers written down on a nice trifold card. The tech guys normally breeze through my car after I hand them the LODRS ETI card. They look @ the easy simple things. Make sure to ask for the LODRS card and not just the ET series if you decide to go that route. The guys from NTR do a great job telling you what needs to be done.
See ya in Indy.
