The way I read it the NHRA penalty would be a minimum of $1000.

Next question is would paying the NHRA penalty exempt you from prosecution by the EPA, or in addition to?

Hey Dan Moore, you're #1.

Next will be unleaded race gas, then EPA/C.A.R.B. mandated catalyst systems on all race cars. NHRA doesn't care, as long as there are racers dumb enough to pay. That's okay. I'll wait until November when we can vote out the a-hole lawyers who underwrote much of EPA's frivolous authority and get back to racing, let alone living.

Bret, you might want to re-think the felony part. It should be a civil penalty by the EPA but that is as far as it goes unless you kill someone and first you have to be convicted. Remember you are innocent until proven guilty even with the EPA.
My 2 Cents

Yes Charlie I agree we all agree by signing most any NHRA form that we agree to abide by their rules and regulations. That's fine with me, my gander gets up when I'm told to do things that any racer with common sense would do anyway. Maybe it's not so much what they said as HOW they said it. In my home state every body knows you can't drink and drive or drive without your seatbelt on, fines, jail, no lic. ect. However that doesn't stop the state from producing and airing commercials stating the obvious, waste of money and effort. No matter how I feel about it I'll still follow the rules as they're put to us the racers I guess I was unaware this was such a problem with the Sportsman racers. I remember back before they had the generator exhaust rules, if 1 of my neighbors were fogging me out I'd just ask them to move it...I never had anyone say NO, just common courtesy. Lets just all hope they never get to fine any Sportsman racer in the first place. Joe
