Does anyone know the history of a BO29 Cuda that was sold to a Houston collector in 2005. It is painted in the Sox and Martin colors -- but without the graphics. It does have a name on the door -- but the person telling me about this car couldn't remember it. I don't have the full VIN at the moment.
Anyone have any hints or guesses about this car? |

Couldn't find that thread at Moparts. Charlie Blankenship's name is on the windows. Anyone know anything about the car he was running prior it getting sold to the collection in 2005? I know the car sold for $106,000 in 2005. I'd like to find out any history about the car -- or anything else anyone might know about the car. |

Nice photos -- couldn't find that car. Here's the newest lead, but can't find anything on the net about the car.

Go to the Moparts board and go to Unlawful Racing. Post your information on there and you will get some responses to your questions. Good luck.

I'll be honest with you -- I'm not a big fan of Moparts. I was a member from the time they started after the Dallas board went down in about 1998 -- until 2001. The moderation was too heavy handed -- and the Clique atmosphere turned me off, and I've not posted since. |

If I am not mistaken, the "Deathwish" Barracuda was NOT a "real" B029 car. It was built and raced by Bill Weakley in OH. I seem to recall that it was on E-Bay a few years ago. If it has "real" VIN numbers on it I would be curious as to what they are. I was thinking that the car you were talking about was the one Charlie Blankenship had and sold to someone in TX a few years ago. That was the Parrillo & Cerrone Barracuda - I do know most of the history on that one back to day one. If you want to know more, let me know.

The car is a real B029, and it was sold by Blankenship to a collector in Texas in 2005 for $105K. It is in the S&M color scheme -- without any S&M graphics. The person that told me it was most likely a Jim Pancake car raced from the 70s to 1991 could be mistaken. No information given to me at this point has been verified -- just rumored. |
