I think this is going to end badly at some point, for 4 instead of 2.....
Drooze, no possibility of a Nascar style pile up; you have to understand how Z-max is constructed. Think of it as 2 "complete" dragstrips side by side because you have a retaining wall between the 2 cars racing on the right and the 2 cars racing on the left. I attended both of the Nat. events that have been run there, so I saw the 4 wide TF and FC exhibitions last Sept.; and I will be there in March when they run all Pro qualifying and eliminations 4 wide; it should be interesting to say the least.

Check....good to know, I only saw it briefly and didnt really pay attention at the time, that makes sense.

I was wondering how "safley" they could clean 2 when the other 2 are running.

I'd hate to be the pour SOB that has to get out there and clean a lane while they're running T/F or F/C in the other two lanes.

I don't watch much of the 'pro' drag racing anymore, but I am sure the crew chiefs and tuners are brimming with enthusiasm with this announcement.

These guys will be setting up cars in eliminations for lanes that they don't have any qualifying runs and data from.

Maybe they should rename this race the 'Tiresmoke Nationals'.

Sad to see a sport that I have loved since I was in first grade be reduced to a circus show.
