well by that logic drunk drivers are fine, I mean what is your chance of getting hit by one????
right is right, and wrong is wrong. the probability of having a heads up with one is irrelevant. Mr. Cour, I'm very happy your dad had the money to go buy one of these cars, however it doesn't make this smoldering pile of crap NHRA has handed us any better. and for those that think this is a brand deal, it isn't. get over yourselves.

But people here talk out one side saying "it's unfair - they're too fast" then talk out the other side and say "don't 'disrespect' the other racers and run it out the back door." Again I say: WTF? Which is it people? You can't complain the AHFS doesn't work AND tell people to lift after 1000' so the combo doesn't have to take the hit. If I were the NHRA I'd automatically DQ any pair of racers who lifted after 1,000 foot unless they both could show the mechanical failure that forced their time to fall off in the last 320'. But as I'm sure someone will point out, I'm not the NHRA, so you can all keep cheating. In the end you're just cheating yourselves right out of the ability to race in the NHRA anyway. |

Mr Rhodes, you have two Corvettes in the garage, shop, driveway, trailer, or wherever else you store and work on them. Race em, and don't worry about what someone else can afford or can't. It's what you can do with what you have that matters. It's absolutely relevant if you have or haven't had a heads up with one of them. You act like you've been in the final of a National and got your butt waxed. I'll bet you haven't had a heads up, but you use this site to lobby for personal gain. If you didn't have a A or AA car, that would be irrelevant. Sean |

And exactly where in the post you quoted did I say anything about the AHFS or gaming the AHFS? Try to stay on point here. You're trying to tell people how it is okay to get run over by these cars, because it will help the class, and the guys getting beat should just take it and like it. I say your argument doesn't hold water. So you bring up the AHFS? ![]() And honestly, since you brought up the AHFS, let's examine that subject. While a very few of the old school AA cars can run a little more than 1.0 under the new index of 10.60, how many of them do you think are fast enough to force ANY of the new cars to run 1.25 under the new index and actually get HP? Care to take a guess? Get back to us when you can explain how the older cars will make the AHFS work for them.

As for the two vettes, we do race one of them. And I am about to start building the other. And i think before the year is out the package cars will effect alot more than just A or AA. look at the laundry list of new ford "crate motors", or the engine combos for the challengers. We will continue to run dad's car in A/SA, but we are probably going to start building a small block later this year.

Sean: I race A/SA. I race Div 3 Points meets. I have raced the last four years at Indy as well as a few other National Events. At Indy the last four years I qualified twice, DNQ'd twice. I've spent well over 100K (and I mean well over) on my stocker. And I got waxed by a factory Mustang in the Third round at Indy this year. ( And according to Nitro Joe, it was the best run I've ever made.) And your point is ...?????
