Truly.....well....a Super Cobra Jet (2010 model) Yeah Yeah Im a perfomance *****.....I know Id have to hide it from the old man lest I come in the shop and it had a Hemi in it
![]() 1982 Dodge Challenger Auto with a 2.6 4G54 Since I cant get my hands on one.....that was part of my "evil plan" and I think its good for 2 under.... but they are scarcer than a real 6 pak car it seems, so plan abandoned. (Still like to add one to the "Holy Trinity" collection so if anyone knows of a truly spotless example drop me a line, ive got money set aside for a NICE one) Sapparo would "suffice" for now 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix 455 4 speed like my dad had (special order , dont see the 4 speed listed in the guide) A 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8, I like wagons. And a WHOLE list of Foreign like a Renault R5 Turbo II, Renault Fuego 1.6Twin Turbo Intercooled, and other junk car strangeness I enjoy. That is and never will be in the classification guides, the Challenger "Captive Import" is as close as I will come |

One of the original '65 Mopar factory super stock hemi cars. Dodge or Plymouth.
I think they are the ultimate factory built superstock. The ultimate stocker; one of the original '65 Mopar factory super stock hemi cars with a single carb, AA/SA. Dodge or Plymouth. Maybe not as fast as the new Cobra Jets or Changers, but to me a whole lot neater. I loved those cars from the time they came out. Far too expensive for me back then. I was regulated to a '57 Chevy Jr. Stock; also ran. The Hurst built '68 hemi cars never did trhat much for me as I didn't really think of them as factory built. In 1969 I had a chance to buy one of them, a Dart, less engine & trans for $2,200 but that was way over my head at that time. Even with a partner, we couldn't scrape up that much at one time.

First one I would have to go with is Lindley Isonhood's '63 corvette from way back that used to run in I/A.
I believe it would now fit nicely in one of the GT classes of super stock. It had a 286 cubic inch small block chev,Liberty 5 speed transmission and Dana 60 rearend. Second one would be my own creation which would be a '55 chev Delray painted the original coral & grey colours with matching interior. I would built it to run in either GT/K or GT/L utilizing either the 265 2x4 WCFB setup or a 283/rochester 4-jet . Transmission would be a Jerico only if I could make it work with the original bench seat.It would also be a Dana 60 ladder bar car not a 4 link setup. As one might guess keeping it sort of retro wouldn't make it the fastest one around but oh well. |
