Default Re: my opinion

NHRA has classes for pro-tree racers, there is nothing wrong with the current system in Stock and Super Stock.

Don, what is your gripe with the full-tree? How is it failing you?

Here is why I think it is a bad idea: First, I doubt any stick racer will want to have his or her motor on the chip for seconds at a time, screaming at high rpm, while waiting for a pro-tree.

Sercondly, I've tried it and it is not that great. I raced in Open Comp (chose your dial, pro-tree), races and it is great as long as you are leaving first. When you leave second it is very hard as you are almost always distracted by the car leaving in the other lane. There is a distinct advantage to going first.

If you want a pro-tree then just "block" like most of the successful racers do.
