Anyone run a Birdcatcher on a SBC. I know most run a bug, but got a deal on a bird setup for a SBC. Just wondering if i should swap it for a bug. Thanks.

Unless it's a BIG small block, you won't be able to return enough fuel. I think the bird flows 3200 cfm. the bug will be better .

400 sbc. i thought the bug flowed 1500 and the bird was 2100. Also i have heard 2 sides of the story. Some say that the motor will only pull as much as it can and since your fuel does not depend on flow you will be fine. I also heard that the motor will "surge" because it is pulling in such a big area instead of a smaller more matched area to what it can pull.

Injection pumps 100% @ 3000rpm and it's tuned by return, so it doesn't matter what your motor pulls it will get all fuel the pump throws at it. If it were me I would put a terminator on a 400 sb , doesn't look as cool , but will work. I think Rob Derr run a hat on his sb. put took it off shortly after.
