WOW, and I have an extra one of those in my garage, headwork has already been done, Hedman headers are already on
(SAVES ME FROM HAVING TO START LOOKING AROUND FOR A SET OF BIG BLOCK HEADERS hint, hint), just have to yank it outa my Astro. I even have a spare one that we can start some machine work on as well , course it'll need a sleeve in #4 where that valve got swallowed. You know somewhere around here I have an 'old' AHRA license, and I think an old NFL football, why I bet with that letter you have & the stuff I have we could get it through tech in no time. Probably as easily as that Mustang you been driving,,,,, what ya think? Got Deb's El Camino wired yet? BTW, gonna need some shiny round things to put Hoosiers on, any idea where a fella might get some? and oh yea, the front ones need to be REALLY light, we're trying to offset some recently added weight,,,,,,, Unk Last edited by BobUnkefer; 11-27-2009 at 09:03 PM. |

If you put the Quadrajet/4.3L combo in you have to paint the engine green for it to run properly...or so I've been told.... ![]() and to answer your other questions... Cool - me too!, gosh I hope so, no - not yet, and 800.788.WELD...lol |

OK, got 'nother question, WHICH hood would be correct? ANY 1968 Camaro hood? it would be a "Full stock hood including latches, hinges, springs, brackets, and
braces as originally produced" Flat hood, z28 hoodss hood, does any in particular have to be run or just a 68 Camaro hood,,,,,, and why???? per nhra rulebook, HOOD Full stock hood including latches, hinges, springs, brackets, and braces as originally produced must be retained. Hood openings and/or hood scoops other than original equipment prohibited. OEM hood openings must retain all flappers, grilles, hardware, etc. as originally produced. In front-wheel-drive vehicles, nonfunctional hood scoops that were available through the manufacturer are permitted. |

Unk, what kind of Harley parts do you have? I need some (well, actually I need ALL of it) of the chrome for an 84 1/2 FLHTC. I need to finish restoring it, it needs a new home. I might have some of the big block stuff you need.
