Some great shots there. On the bottom of the first page, there is a photo of Tom Crosses "Wheel City" Ford Fairlane. Back in early 1977, a buddy bought a different "Wheel City" SS/D 67 Fairlane, but this was a 2 dr sedan "post" car. I drove with him to pick the car up, and bring in back to BC Canada. It was white with orange flames, with "Paint by Hatton" on the front fenders, and the entire engine compartment and undercarridge was all bright orange. It came with 2 hood, a flat steel hood, and the scooped fiberglass hood, both painted to match up with the flames. The former driver must have been fairly short, as there were wooden spacer blocks on the clutch & brake pedals. According to the name on the side, his name was Tony Ranerio. From what I understand, Wheel City was the forerunner to Jack McCormick Enterprises, and they had several Fairlanes running in Stock & S/S, all painted white with orange flames. Any of you older Midwest racers remember these cars, or know much about them. About 15 years ago, a different buddy sold the Fairlane, (now painted green) to RJ Sledge, Steven Hall ran it in SS/EA for a while, last I heard, a guy back in Michigan was restoring it back to early Wheel City status.

Not bad Rory, long time no see. I still have the old Camaro as you noticed. Slowly building a new motor, as i blew up the old one down at Mission years ago. Happy to say its still a stick car. Also updating the car to disc brakes as 4 wheel drums were having a hard time slowing it down (scary). Also picked up a 69 Z28-RS with 19000 org miles. How you been doing.

How is Ollie doing these days? I used to love hanging out at the track with him and his wife back in the '90s. We both ran GT/GA cars in division 3 then.
