Default entry fee vs. payout

can any one explaine how at Div. or Nat. races we all pay one fee, but there are different payouts

$160.00 for $800.00 to win in sst, stock
$160.00 for $1000.00 to win in s/g , s/stock
$160.00 for $1500.00 in comp and they might have 15 cars

can any one explaine that to me... just a thought... Yes kevin i can think and talk at the same time hhahahaha..

Because they can.
Face it if we were in this to make money the loony bin buses would be lined up outside the gate.
Also a lot of the current day racers are well enough situated on the money side to complain bit yet continue to pay at the gate.
Those with a lot of money could really care less.
Now the budget guys, their the one's getting it in the shorts.I'm in the last category. My retiremement job went away and racing wise I'm hurting.
Add to the poor payouts pit bike fees,I'd like to know why we have to pay it in the first place because I see no benefit except the track owners making money for no service rendered, and the usual overinflated costs, tolls, racing fuel etc. and the little guy is slowly being shut out.
I rest my case.

Dan, where did you get these figures for the race winner payout? I believe it is correct, but I haven't seen it anywhere on the internet or in print for several years. I don't think it has increased any since the entry fee was $125 for the divisional races. Also the entry fees have not been consistant this year throughout the series because I paid $170 at Bradenton, $160 at Gainesville, Orlando and SGMP. Then a few weeks ago I paid $150 at Commerce. Honestly I did.

This should really send you over the top Dan, so you better brace yourself for this next bit of information. Entry fee for TAD and TAFC is a call to the division office to let them know you are coming, and I am pretty sure they race for $3500 to win and get the up front, paved pit spaces too.

Oh, and one more thing.......

Hey Dan Moore, you're #1.

Joe,I was trying to figure out what the stupid part was.Sometimes I make posts laced with sarcasm, but
only when it's flung at me first.
NHRA and the tracks are starting to resemble big govt. with the rules and "taxes" we're getting hit with.

Ed, I agree with you 100% on that comparision of NHRA and big government. Dan (a.k.a. Huey) is the organizer and leader of a little S/ST-H/R association we are trying to get going down here in Div.2. One of the main thoughts in wanting to get this type of series going is many of us believe the day will come when we are just a memory among the suits in the Ivory towers of Glendora, so we want to have venue to keep doing what we all enjoy doing.
