Default D3 Bracket Finals Blunder

Did anyone see the mess up at Indy bracket finals? A guy wins two rounds of racing then someone gets his number entered wrong and he wins three or four more rounds under this other guys number. By the way did I mention that the guys number that they had him racing under was from a different track in a different state that was not even at the race just a minor detail. So I guess my question would be if you pulled into a track say third round and knew someone in the tower entering car numbers could you just jump in and race?

Damn I was there and did not hear anything about this. Who was it and did it effect the team points?

Check out dragracecentral.com it's all on there it sounds like they got it figured out in the end. The guy that got runnerup was the one they lost for a few rounds. How does something like this happen?
